Who We Are

Perfect moments are created one detail at a time.

Engaging Affairs is the D.C. area's premier wedding planning company, creating the city's most gracious and glamorous weddings since 1996. We’ve been ranked #1 in Washingtonian magazine nine times and have won multiple awards for our gorgeous weddings. We’ve designed weddings for movie stars, politicians and professional athletes. But what sets us apart (aside from our massive experience) is our passion for all things wedding.

We are wedding specialists. Our couples don’t compete for our time with corporations or nonprofits (although we think both are perfectly lovely). We don’t keep busy by styling birthday parties (but we are all about birthday cake). For us there is never anything more important than planning the perfect celebration of a marriage.

Whether it’s a multi-day South Asian bash, an intimate same-sex ceremony or a swanky museum affair, we thrive on being a part of a day devoted solely to celebrating love. We believe each couple’s love is unique and it’s our goal to create weddings that are just as unique. Talk about a dream job!

Beyond getting our love fix, we are all about making our couples' engagement the best time of their lives. Our clients are busy professionals who look to us to save them time and reduce stress so they can truly enjoy the planning process and the wedding day. Most of all, we understand the years of dreaming that are entrusted to us to create one day of unforgettable moments!
